IRGC Signals Escalation After U.S.–Israel Strikes on Iranian Infrastructure

Tehran Warns of Intensified Drone and Missile Operations as Regional Tensions Rise

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that it will significantly intensify its military operations following reported strikes by the United States and Israel on Iranian oil depots and water distribution facilities.

According to Iran’s state-linked Fars News Agency, an informed official said the IRGC Aerospace Force is preparing to escalate its offensive operations starting tonight in response to what Tehran described as acts of aggression.

The official told Fars that Iran plans to increase the scale of its military activities as part of what it described as retaliation against the policies of Donald Trump and the White House.

“In order to counter the savagery of Trump and the White House, the IRGC will increase the volume of its drone operations by up to 20%. The use of ultra-heavy and strategic missiles will also double, increasing by 100%,” the official was quoted as saying.

Drone Operations Expected to Increase

The report suggests Iran may expand the use of unmanned aerial systems in the coming phase of the conflict. Iranian military planners have relied heavily on drones in recent years as a central component of their regional strategy.

Officials cited in the report said drone deployments could rise by as much as 20 percent, while the use of what they described as “ultra-heavy and strategic missiles” could increase by 100 percent compared to previous operational levels.

Military analysts say such announcements are often meant to signal readiness and deterrence as tensions escalate across the region.

Escalation in a Widening Conflict

The latest warning comes amid a rapidly expanding confrontation involving Iran, the United States, and Israel. Iranian officials claim recent attacks targeted key infrastructure sites, including oil storage facilities and water distribution plants, which they say could have serious humanitarian and economic consequences.

Tehran has repeatedly vowed to respond forcefully to any attacks on its territory or infrastructure.

The IRGC Aerospace Force, responsible for Iran’s missile and drone programs, has played a central role in recent retaliatory operations and is considered one of the most powerful branches of Iran’s military.

Regional Tensions Continue to Rise

While Iranian officials have signaled an impending escalation, there has been no immediate confirmation from Washington or Tel Aviv regarding the claims of infrastructure strikes cited in the Fars report.

Security experts warn that further retaliation could deepen instability across the Middle East, raising the risk of a broader regional confrontation involving multiple state and non-state actors.
