SYDNEY — Two months after finalizing her divorce from Keith Urban, Academy Award-winner Nicole Kidman is reportedly shifting her focus to her family and upcoming high-profile projects, despite persistent media speculation regarding her ex-husband’s personal life.

Kidman, 58, and Urban officially ended their 19-year marriage on January 6, 2026. While the split was legally amicable, recent reports suggest that the emotional transition has been exacerbated by public scrutiny. According to court documents, the former couple agreed to a parenting plan where their daughters, Sunday Rose (17) and Faith Margaret (15), spend 306 days a year with Kidman.

Defending the Next Generation

The “frustration” mentioned by insiders is largely tied to recent online backlash directed at Sunday Rose. Following her runway appearance for Calvin Klein at New York Fashion Week on February 13, the teenager faced intense “nepotism” criticism on social media. Kidman has reportedly “lost her cool” over the targeting of her children, taking to Instagram to proudly support her daughter’s milestone with the caption, “New York baby!”

Professional Resurgence: ‘Scarpetta’ and the Met Gala

Despite the personal upheaval, Kidman’s professional calendar is at a decade-high peak. Her highly anticipated forensic thriller, Scarpetta, officially premieres on Amazon Prime Video today, March 11, 2026. Kidman stars as Dr. Kay Scarpetta in the eight-episode series based on Patricia Cornwell’s best-selling novels.

Additionally, Kidman has been announced as a Co-Chair for the 2026 Met Gala, alongside Beyoncé, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour. The event, themed “Costume Art,” is set for the first Monday in May and marks Kidman’s return to the fashion world’s center stage as a solo figure.

While rumors continue to swirl regarding Keith Urban’s post-divorce dating life, representatives for both stars emphasize that their current priority remains a “loving, stable, and consistent” co-parenting relationship for their children.
